July - D.B. Corp. Ltd. launches 6th edition of Divya Marathi with its Akola edition.

2011

January - The Group launches 4 new editions of Dainik Bhaskar in Sri Ganganagar, Bhilwara, Alwar and Sikar, in January 2011, establishing a significant stronghold on the state’s readership. 

April - The Group introduces Madhya Pradesh to its English newspaper, DNA, with the launch of the same in Indore in April 2011. 

July - D.B. Corp. Ltd. launches the 2nd edition of Divya Marathi with its Nashik edition.

2010

India’s largest newspaper group. 

January - The D.B. Corp. Public Issue is declared one of the best listings of 2009 and 2010, after its highly successful rise in the stock markets on 6th January 2010. 

August - The Group expands to Jharkhand on 22nd August 2010, with Dainik Bhaskar’s Ranchi edition, opening with 1,35,000 subscribed copies on the first day. 

October - D.B. Corp. Ltd. launches Jammu edition of Dainik Bhaskar on 18th October 2010. 

December - D.B. Corp. Ltd. launches Jamshedpur edition of Dainik Bhaskar on 12th December 2010. 

2009

July - The Group creates a magnificent benchmark in the printing industry by installing German-imported, state-of-the-art KBA printing machines in Jaipur and Ahmedabad in July 2009. 

August - In August 2009, the Chairman of the Group Mr. Ramesh Chandra Agarwal, is felicitated and awarded the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism’, a great honour and prestigious laurel for the Group. 

October - The Group introduces ‘India Pride Awards’ on 9th October, a first-of-its-kind award event in the PSU segment. 

December - D. B. Corp. Ltd. launches its maiden public issue from 10th December to 15th December, creating a record oversubscription (over 39 times) for an IPO in 23 months. 

2008

January - The Group consolidates its radio business with the network spreading across 17 radio stations and 7 states, in January 2008.
 
June - The Group expands its business and reach even further in June 2008, with the launch of Dainik Bhaskar’s Pali, Nagaur, Bhilai, Ratlam and Shimla editions. In June 2008, the Group expands its business in Madhya Pradesh with the launch of DB Star’s Bhopal and Indore editions. 

July - In July 2008, the Group launches a national campaign ‘Zid karo, duniya badlo’ championed by MS Dhoni to celebrate 50 years of Dainik Bhaskar, its flagship Hindi daily. The Group also initiates massive investment in upgrading printing infrastructure across all markets.

2007

July - Divya Bhaskar becomes the only Gujarati newspaper with 7 or more editions in the state, with its launch in Bhuj on 30th July 2007. 

November - In November 2007, the Group launches the first edition of its English newspaper, ‘DNA’ in Ahmedabad as a franchise of D. B. Corp. Ltd. 

December - MY FM extends its reach to 14 cities across India with the launch of its Jodhpur station. The Group strengthens its position in Punjab with the launch of Dainik Bhaskar’s Ludhiana edition on 15th December 2007. 

2006

May - The Group launches its debut radio station, My FM, Jio Dil se 94.3, in Jaipur on 28th May 2006, marking its venture into the new medium.
 
October - The Group launches Dainik Bhaskar in Punjab with its Amritsar and Jalandhar editions on 8th October 2006, claiming the position of No.1 on Day 1 yet again. 

November - The Group introduces Rajkot to Divya Bhaskar on 1st November 2006, acquiring another strong base of readers. 

2005

April - In April 2005, a new company, “D. B. Corp. Ltd.” is born, post the demerger of WPL (Writers and Publishers Limited) and Warbug Pincus’s investment. In April 2005, D. B. Corp. Ltd. is given the license to launch its radio business in 17 stations, under its subsidiary, Synergy Media Entertainment Ltd. The radio channel, My FM offers potential advertisers an integrated advertising solution across 17 cities. 

October - Breaking the language barrier, the Group launches AHA! Zindagi in Gujarati after huge success of its Hindi edition. 

December - In December 2005, the Group forms its digital leg with a new web media company, DB Digital (then IMCL), as its subsidiary. 

2004

March - The Group launches an independent edition of Divya Bhaskar in Surat, Gujarat’s 2nd largest city, on 28th March 2004. 

July - The Group introduces Divya Bhaskar to Maharashtra in July 2004. 

August - The Group launches ‘AHA! Zindagi’, its first Hindi magazine on lifestyle and positive thinking. 

September - The Group launches the Baroda edition of Divya Bhaskar on 12th September 2004. In September 2004, the Group consolidates its Gujarati business with its first merger and acquisition - the 60-year-old, highest circulated daily of Gujarat, ‘Saurashtra Samachar’. 

2003

The Group launches ‘Divya Bhaskar’ - a Gujarati daily, in Ahmedabad, breaking the language barrier, debuting with 4.52 lakh copies and instantly replacing the 50-year established Gujarati paper. (View case-study by IIM Ahmedabad.) 

2001

The Group consolidates its position as the No. 1 news daily in Haryana (IRS 2001), with its launch of Dainik Bhaskar’s Faridabad edition on 17th June 2001.

2000

 The decade of expansion in vernacular languages. 

May - The Group launches its Chandigarh edition of Dainik Bhaskar on 7th May 2000, changing the English-dominated market and gaining a lead of 2.5 times over its English competitor. 

June - The Group introduces Dainik Bhaskar in Haryana on 4th June 2000, with its Panipat and Hissar editions, leading to 13 separate district papers being certified. 

1999

The Group launches Dainik Bhaskar’s Kota edition on 6th March 1999

1998

The Group introduces Udaipur to its leading Hindi daily, Dainik Bhaskar, making this the 5th edition in the state.

1997

April - The Group extends its readership in Rajasthan with the launch of Dainik Bhaskar in Ajmer on 6th April. 

August - The Group launches Jodhpur edition of Dainik Bhaskar on 3rd August. 

October - The Group launches Bikaner edition of Dainik Bhaskar on 16th October. 

1996

The Group launches in Rajasthan on 19th December 1996, with its Jaipur edition of Dainik Bhaskar, using an innovative twin-contact program for research, opening to a circulation of 1.72 lakh on day 1 and replacing the leading existing brand instantly.

1995

 Dainik Bhaskar gains the position of No. 1 in Madhya Pradesh and is also declared India’s fastest growing daily.

1993

The Group launches the Bilaspur edition of Dainik Bhaskar on 20th September 1993.

1988

The Group launches its flagship Hindi daily, Dainik Bhaskar in Raipur, tapping into a new base of readership. The decade of expansion in new states.
